One of our newest PLHC exclusives is perhaps my favorite candle. I never hold it up to someone's nose in store without getting a satisfied "mmmm."
Here's the deal with coconut wax. It's a more eco-friendly alternative to soy or paraffin wax, which are what you find in most average candles. It also burns cleaner and doesn't make your house a smokey mess when you extinguish the candle.

Started in 2013, husband and wife team Jamie & Riho Lara created Cellar Door Candles. Their candles are based on a dedication to a non-toxic and clean lifestyle. They use a coconut wax and beeswax blend, which is a more sustainable alternative to soy wax.
They do not use plastic for shipping material, only recycled paper/material and re-used cardboard. Essential oils all come from a lavender farm close to their warehouse. All of our packaging, including the glass for candles, comes from the U.S.

Margot Elena's Tokyo Milk line is balanced in design, fragrance and formulations. What we love about Margot Elena's designs are the details she provides on the packaging. Each item feels like a treasure to hold and to keep. Are you wondering what it takes to smell like cake? The "Let Them Eat Cake" fragrance features Sugar Cane, Coconut Milk, Vanilla Orchid & White Musk.
A personal favorite of ours is the "Dead Sexy" fragrance, with Deep Vanilla, Exotic Wood, White Orchid, and Ebony.
Soil Candles? With love from Salem.
Established in 2015 by a husband-wife team in Salem Oregon. Arcane Chemistry makes natural and clean burning soy wax candles. Their scents are made with fragrances that transport you to a place and evoke a mood or feeling. The inspiration comes from memories and impressions. Nature, music, art and food. They’re all ways of connecting to each other, they tell stories and add beauty to our lives.
They even have a fragrance called "Petrichor," which LITERALLY smells like the moment when rain hits asphalt. Trust us, you're gonna want to come in and give it a try!
