Hoya obovata is a very fast growing and relatively easy trailing houseplant. New leaves emerge almost black and harden off to a large oval shaped green leaf, with a random silver pattern. The flowers are small and clustered white and pink.

- Soil: organic well draining mix
- Water: keep slightly moist but not wet
- Fertilizer: slow release
