Some ideal (or necessary) times to smoke cleanse your aura and/or space would be:
BLUE SAGE SMOKE CLEANSE
Smoke cleansing is a practice of burning herbs to embody different energies and cleanse the home of bad ones.
Listing includes: one ~ 3-4" Stick
- When you move into a new living space
- When you begin a new job or start your own business
- Before and after a guest enters your home
- Before and after a yoga or healing session
- Before meditation
- After an argument or any illness
- Upon returning home from crowded situations
How to Use Sticks
Holding the stick by the “handle” end, use a lighter to ignite the tip. Blow out any open flames so that the leaves slowly smolder. Next, wave the wand around a room, person, or objects to direct the fragrant, cleansing smoke. Catch the ashes in a heat-resistant dish. (An abalone shell is traditional, but you can use a pot, incense burner, or even a regular plate, as long as you put something under it.) Smudge sticks can be extinguished in a dish of sand and re-used many times.
Blue Sage: A close relative of White Sage, Blue Sage is also good for healing and cleansing rituals. Its soothing, relaxing smell can be used to aid meditation, or burned simply for enjoyment. It’s not as pungent as White Sage, and is more agreeable to some folks who find the strong, bracing scent of White Sage overpowering.
