Asaparagus simulans

Native to Madagascar, this "fern" is actually not a fern but belongs to the Asparagus family. Unlike it's relatives that are more airy and soft, this has a strong architectural texture with darker leaves and more upright stiff structure and doesn't trail or scramble about.
It also has minute white flowers that can end up producing dark berries eventually turning orange. It's also very drought tolerant and adaptable from bright indirect to full sun exposure. As a houseplant, it can reach 2 to 4ft tall.
Looks great on a tabletop, near a window, or mixed in with your large leaf collection.
Unfortunately, these are not pet-safe.
