Brighamia insignis, commonly known as the Hawaiian Palm, ʻŌlulu, or Cabbage on a Stick is native to Kaua'i and Ni'ihau (effectively extinct in the wild).  Not technically a palm but in the bellflower family.

Cultivated in gardens which helps ensure the species' survival.  Can go dormant in hot summer months.  Fragrant flowers.

  • Soil: succulent mix
  • Water: allow to dry between watering.  Likes moderate humidity
  • Fertilizer: slow release
