Snowflake Obsidian - tumbled

Snowflake obsidian forms when felsic lava erupts from a volcano and cools rapidly. The rapid cooling prevents the formation of large crystals, but subsequent volcanic activity allows for the growth of white patterns called spherulites (specifically, the mineral cristobalite) within the glassy structure. 

It is considered a "stone of purity" and is believed to provide strong grounding energy, connecting the user to the earth. It is often used as a shield against negativity and psychic stress.

Practitioners use it to help recognize and release "wrong thinking" or unhealthy behavioral patterns, bringing hidden issues to the surface gently for resolution.
