Taxiphyllum barbieri - ADA
Taxiphyllum barbieri is native to Southeast Asia and is commonly used in freshwater aquariums. It's a hardy plant that can grow free floating or attach itself to rocks, driftwood, and other objects using rhizoids. It's easy to care for, requiring a consistent water temperature of 20–28°C and a pH of 5.0–8.0. It also benefits from medium to high lighting and regular pruning to maintain its shape. Taxiphyllum barbieri is a popular choice for aquariums because it provides hiding places for fish and shrimp, and its large surface area is home to microorganisms and detritus that shrimp can eat.
