Vesicularia montagnei, also known as Christmas moss, is a species of aquatic moss. It's a moss specialty from Brazil that's often used as an ornamental underwater plant in planted aquariums. It gets its name from the shape of its leaves, which grow in a pattern that resembles a Christmas tree.
Christmas moss grows relatively slowly and requires medium/high light and CO2 to grow well. It's more demanding than ordinary Java moss and doesn't appreciate being grown in low-light set-ups.
