Violas are low-growing, hardy perennial or annual flowers (5-7 inches high) that thrive in cool, sunny spring or autumn conditions, featuring fragrant blooms in purple, yellow, and white. They require well-draining soil, regular moisture, and deadheading for consistent flowering. Often used in containers or borders, they are edible, cold-tolerant, and can last as short-lived perennials, frequently self-seeding.  Remove spent flowers to keep flowering.  Save and spread seeds to regrow.
