Bowiea volubilis - 4" hoop
aka Sea Onion, but is actually in the Lily family. A climbing vine and not edible! A succulent (caudex-like) with bulb usually exposed above ground. Native South Africa, endemic to regions of poor soil and hot arid region. Can go dormant in later summer and will start to grow again in late winter. Provide structure to climb.
- Light: sun/ hot
- Soil: cactus well draining mix
- Water: water and allow to dry. When leaves start to yellow in late fall, let go dormant and hold back watering till late winter
- Fertilizer: growing season
